New Book I am Reading

The book that I am currently reading is "And Then There Were None". The title drew me in because it left me in complete suspense. I didn't know what there was "none" of. I automatically wanted to open up the book and explore what was inside.

The cover of the book really enhances the mystery because it portrays an island surrounded by fog and completely isolated from the rest of the world. Also, in the top right corner, there is a person standing on the cliff, this really makes me want to find out who that person is and what they are doing on this mysterious island.
After reading the title and examining the picture, i had to read the back cover to find out more about this mystery. I found out that 10 people, each with something to hide, and something to fear, are invited to a lonely mansion on a private island off of the coast of Devon. Upon arriving, each guest has been marked for murder. Who invited these ten guests? Why were they specifically chosen to die? Who is killing them? What do they all have in common? These are just a fraction of the question i had after reading the back cover. I cant wait to unravel the mystery of island, of the guests, of the mansion, and of the host. Stay tuned for further updates regarding the plot, setting, and characters.

  1. Your explanation was beautiful. I can absolutely relate to how the title of "And Then There Was None" drew you in! The title is mysterious, and somewhat scary! I also really really liked how you said that you began asking yourself questions immediately after reading the back cover. I would have done the same thing! As they say, Great Minds think alike! the description is extremely haunting. I will definitely be staying tuned towards what seems to be a great book! Awesome Post!!

  3. This book seems pretty interesting. I can help but notice the archetypal plot of the story, or should I say the cover? The island plot signifies working for survival and from what I could tell from your post it seems that the characters are working for survival - but from each other not from nature.
